Five ways to train

The games serious brain trainers use, in one place.

01Working memory

Dual N-Back

Our version of dual n-back. It is one of the most widely studied tasks used in working-memory training. It involves holding and updating visual and auditory information as you play.

Jaeggi et al., 2008, PNASView source

02Relational reasoning

Relational Frame Training

Terminal is based on relational frame training. It challenges your relational reasoning, asking you to work out how concepts connect and what logically follows.

Cassidy et al., 2016; Colbert et al., 2018View source

03Spatial reasoning

Mental Rotation

Blocks turns mental rotation into a construction game. Instead of simply recognising a rotated shape, you rebuild it using the kind of spatial reasoning used across science and engineering.

Uttal et al., 2013, Psychological BulletinView source

04Divided attention

Multiple Object Tracking

Orbit is our version of multiple-object tracking. Follow several moving targets at once and keep them separate as they cross paths. It challenges visual attention and spatial working memory.

Xiao & Jiang, 2024, BMC PsychologyView source

05Processing speed

Visual Processing Speed

Our take on visual processing-speed training. It challenges you to scan a busy scene and pick out relevant information quickly.

Quick answers

FAQs

Neurobuff is a desktop brain training web application with research-informed games, guided cognitive tools, Academy lessons, visible progress tracking, and optional Premium plans.
You can practice attention, memory, reasoning, breathing, verbal fluency, and other cognitive skills through focused desktop sessions.
After signup, your onboarding quiz selects one game you can play until its first saved completion. Every cognitive tool and basic progress tracking remain available without Premium; there is no recurring free-game rotation. Premium unlocks all five games, Academy modules, daily challenges, and the complete progression experience.
A practical starting point is 15–20 minutes, three to five days per week. Choose a routine that feels sustainable for you.
Neurobuff’s games are informed by established cognitive-training tasks and published research. Individual outcomes vary, and Neurobuff is not intended, marketed, or validated for medical diagnosis or treatment.
Neurobuff is currently designed for desktop browsers, where its games, controls, and feedback work best. No download is required.
When paid access ends, your account retains its data, level, XP, and progress. Game access locks unless your one-time onboarding game is still unused.
Account and game data are stored to operate your account and track progress. Neurobuff does not sell user data.

We built the brain training platform we always wanted.

Research-informed protocols, with total freedom to choose what you play and when.
